So how exactly did Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire develop? In many ways, Pearls of Desire is a natural outgrowth of the original “Aloha” series, Jewels of the Heart. I adore the family of shifters at Koa Point, and I wanted to let them live their happily-ever-afters while letting a whole new corps of deserving heroes discover of the magic of Maui. Originally, I intended to write 5 books in the Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart series. But so many readers wanted to hear Ella’s story, I just had to fit it in.
